We strive for our church body to get connected in community, loving and serving one another, and reaching out to those around us.
Our Senior Life Ministry is for everyone 62 and older. We would love to have you join with us. There are monthly activities generally from September through June. This year's regular activities include the SNAC evening and the SSL Luncheon (see descriptions below). Come and join us.
Monthly Activities
Missionary Workday & Wordless Book
Twice a month we meet in the Fellowship Hall from 9 to noon, to make Wordless Books (over 9 million have been made) and other items needed by missionaries (dresses, shorts, quilts, etc.). For information on ordering wordless booksclick here.
SNAC (Sunday Night At Church)
The second Sunday evening of each month (September through June) we have a special fellowship time at church. Light refreshments are served and each evening there is an informal program. The purpose of the evening is to provide an opportunity for fellowship and an evening of enjoyment together.
Suggested donation of $2.50 per person to cover the cost of food.
SSLL (Successful Senior Living Luncheon)
This is a once-a-month Tuesday Fellowship Dinner with a guest speaker. Each month we bring a dish to share and have a guest speaker who addresses a topic of particular interest to Senior Adults.
Shut-In Visitation
As years go by, once-active members sometimes lose their ability to get out. Our Shut-in Visitation ministry has as a goal of not allowing anyone to be forgotten. Perhaps God has given you a heart to minister to these very special people.
Prayer Meeting & Bible Study
Every Wednesday at 7 pm, we meet for a more traditional Bible Study and prayer meeting. We take time each week to pray for some of the needs that have been shared with us and then have a study in God's word. We regularly receive missionaries who are able to give us an update on their ministries. We currently are meeting in the Fellowship Hall.
